Installation Procedures of Laminate Floors:


















Step 1: Plan the area of the room in which the flooring to be installed.

Step 2: Prepare the surface of the existing floor let it be free from dust, foreign particles and other impurities.

Step 3 : Installation

• Standard Flooring – Standard laminate flooring is installed by using glue to fix the flooring to the existing floor. There should not be any gaps between adjacent laminates. Care should be taken that the level of the flooring surface should be even and it is ensured with the help of a light weight rollers.Standard laminate flooring installation is both economical and secure.This type of flooring is widely adopted because of its ease of use.
  

• Pre-Glued Flooring – You may also come across laminate flooring products that have been treated with glue prior to sale. To complete the laminate flooring installation, water is applied to the underside of the board to activate the glue.This type of flooring is easy when compared to the standard flooring, but one disadvantage is that this type of flooring is not suitable for water prone areas (Ex: flooring dampness) because of the reduction in bonding capacity of the glue. It is expensive.
  

• Snap and Lock – There is no glue required for a Snap and Lock laminate flooring installation. The floor boards are instead linked by a locking mechanism on the underside of the wood. Snap and Lock flooring is very easy to install, but may be more expensive that laminate flooring installed with glue.Care should be taken that the outward lock projections should not be broken. Skilled labour is adopted for the installation of this type of flooring.
